I was on bout Durham actually winning a match tbh.

Morgan only got in the Test team cos he did very well in the One Dayers.

Taylor I reckon might be the bloke that fits the bill though.

Well going by Bopara's record in Tests, neither does he. Does make you wonder if there's a genuine chance of five bowlers.
Last time we went in with five bowlers at Headingley we lost by an innings & 80 to yer crims in 2009.

Suspect Taylor as straight swap for Ravi will be the only change. Bresnan's likely to get a go as it's his home test and Broad and Jimmeh are obviously safe.

A thoroughly depressing prospect then:

1) No real changes to a team which has basically failed this year.
2) A debutant in arguably their biggest test in quite some time - whatever happened to all that careful planning?

Andrew Strauss was in the press last week saying he was confident we could take 20 wickets in the next test. Just wondering if he got the decimal point in the wrong place?

Looks like Hughes is looking for a nice little not out. Don't think he is trying to clear the ropes.
Hughes 25 off 40 in the game against Essex, looking for another red inker.

And he's just run his mate out. Rather ironic that Owais Shah's fielding causes the run out.

Lets be fair the last time we did that was 09 at the Oval and that debutant hasn't done too bad.

No rain forecast at Edgbaston tomorrow - Surrey, following on and still 247 behind, will have to do it the hard way. Both sides' tails have wagged in this game, but it would be good to see the batters do their job this time.

What the **** is wrong with Hampshire? Excellent at T20, good at 40 over stuff, but bloody awful at 4 day cricket. On the verge of an innings defeat at home to Kent. It's not even as if Kent has demon bowlers - Hampshire just seem to be unable to concentrate for long periods. :wallbash:

Superb performance from the skipper, these last two have batted for 12 overs now.

Crap from the rest of the side though, went yesterday and for the small amount of play we got our attack looked pretty limited, which it has been for a good few years really. Has still got enough to win some games in this division but not on a regular enough basis, batting should be doing a good deal better than they are.

They've shaken hands on the draw at Edgbaston - Warks gave up with seven wickets to take and 40 minutes remaining. A little surprising considering Surrey were still well behind.
