That is why none of us panicked yesterday.
Your batting is weak and we are a good unit who keep fighting. No real stars in our side just a good team that work well together.
LOL really?

Not saying you did, but a few did.

Slings and arrows and all that :).

Yeah, it's amazing how long our batsmen can underperform. Ponting much below career average, Hussey much below career average, North much below his FC average, Watson much below his FC average, Katich much below his FC average etc.
Yeah but who better to replace them?

No way mate, their batsmen are way ahead of ours on form and confidence. We have big names that haven't been performing for a while, that's about it. In terms of batting, we're easily 5th in the world right now.
Looking at the first innings here and The Ashes last year, I wouldn't put them that far in front myself. Although North and a possibly injured Clarke I'd easily swap for Pietersen and Bell.

Haddin looking reasonable here too. Ironic that Haddin, like Siddle, had quite a long lay-off

That's a seperate point. I just don't know why our batsmen our underpeforming. They are clearly capable of playing better, they just can't maintain it. Even Hussey who has been out of form for 3 ****ing years is showing he is a much better player than his recent stats suggest.

Pitch is good and bowling is persistent rather than massively threatening

No reason why an in form player shouldnt score runs under these conditions which makes it even more of a crime to pick Clarke and North
