Don't wanna pour oil on troubled waters, but on Sky's Soccer Saturday today each one of the pundits agreed Shawcross's tackle was "reckless", which is what I've been saying all along. Can probably discount Champagne Charlie as he's an Arsenal man, but Phil Thompson, Tony Cottee & Matt Le Tiss have no particular affiliations with God's Own Team.

Thompson (centre half by trade, obv) was particularly damning, said he thought Shawcross had let the ball get away from him and was trying to take man and ball.

Queue gushing United fans and how Scholes is a hero and a servant over the last 20 years
Strange comment from someone so publicly keen to have Cesc's babies. :p

Pretty ordinary performance for the most part TBH, and how Vokes let us get away with that miss in injury time I'll never know. Still, the thee points is all that really matters at this point of the season.

A safer rule of thumb is just to discount anything Charlie Ridiculous says because the guy's a spastic.

Wes Brown has broken a bone in his foot, pretty much destroying any chance of being at the World Cup. This is frankly the best news of the year so far.

Micah Richards, surely?

Jageilka's chances have improved exponentially too.

Brown's just fetch tho, so opposite of displeased.
