The Aussie cricket team is and always has been the most pampered and well-resourced sporting team in the country, generally pretty well insulated from bad stuff like huge crowds or being shot at on the team bus. Don’t think people are gonna feel too much sympathy for their position after getting some bad press.

It's a pretty minor thing. 2 test ban at most. 1 test imo.

Nice work - boneheaded Australian cricket team.

Mind you, this has been building up for decades. It's that persistent bone-jarring arrogance. You can just about get away with it when you're on top but when you're not on top - and backed into a corner - you still draw on its long history, still believe it's your right to be number 1, and finally end up doing something totally, unbelievably pathetic. What this does is expose the juvenile stupidity of our cricketers.

Not that we can just blame the morons on the field. This has been a concerted effort by players, coaches, managers, and our precious teflon-coated CEO over a long period of time. Loved watching James Sutherland squirm and delay - he's as much to blame for the culture as anybody...more so, since he's the boss. What a pity none of the reporters asked him if he knew what a telephone was, or if CA knew how to use Skype or Zoom - or anyone of a hundred means of communicating instantaneously across the world, some of which have been around for more than a 150 years now.

Ah James - just pick up the phone...it's a perfectly acceptable way of "learning the facts". Then, for once in your life, make a decent decision, and make it quickly.
