Would it hurt the crowd to acknowledge a good shot? Sounds like a funeral everything a boundary is hit.

So happy for Moz.

Well done Ashwin for twin Michelle's in the match.

As for Australia you can't compete against sides when only 3 players in your side do well in a game, if they have a couple more join in and Clarke, Patto and Henriques perform the same as they have done here then they can get back into the series. You do wonder though who the players to step their games up will be.

Their main hope could be that in back to back tests the turnaround in performances is often dramatic and the Clarke Aussie side have a history of bouncing back well from the odd poor game.
Warner got 50 odd and 20 odd whilst sick plus saved a huge amount of runs in the field

As for the rest .....

Didn't Ponting and Hussey play against SA though? and an inspired Cummins spell is what made the difference in the away series, he's not around right now though, i also disagree about Dhoni, Lyon kept bowling him pies and Dhoni took full advantage of it, those quality bowlers you named would never have let him get away with some of the risks he was taking.

I think it's a confidence things aswell, if Australia are trounced here then their frame of mind won't be in a good place when they head to England, and England are experts at jumping on fragile teams at the moment, especially at home where the crowd will be right up for it too.
Ponting and Hussey were both poor in SA and Ponting may as well not even batted against them at home

In how many innings in Test cricket history have ALL the overs been bowled by spinners? (assuming a minimum overs bowled of say 20).

Regardless of the outcome of this Test, Australia have got a HUGE reward out of it in the unearthing of Henriques.

Everyone in Aus has known for years this kid had the raw talent to be a very good international player, he just needed to harness it.

To score 100+ in your first Test in such difficult, alien conditions is a brilliant effort. He also bowled well and played his role to a tee.

His bowling will be much more useful in English conditions where he will get his customary seam and swing and will take the pressure off Watson to start bowling again.

We have got a real find on our hands here!!
