Good on him. Good to here its all good will.
Yeah, AWTAThe most impressive thing is that he's come out right near the start of his career which would have taken some balls (hopefully his....), as there will be some administrators and potential sponsors who, wrongly IMO, will frown upon his lifestyle in the coming years.

Anyway, good on the bloke, and good on his team mates for being good about it.Brave, charming, modest and inspiring. No big deal yet of course a huge deal. Top man Steven Davies. Steven Davies: England cricketer announces he is gay - Telegraph
Glad you clarified, I thought you were replying to me until I got to that bit.Edit: I'm replying to a deleted post nowOh well, I'll leave it.
Never mind. Yeah, I thought the same thing, but the moment has passed. Suffice to say it was something expressed to me by someone from here, in another placeDon't know where you got that from, but my twitter feed has Stephen Fry saying

This.Come out of where?
Nah, good on him. Should be the biggest non-issue ever, but it isn't. Hopefully it's not too long until it is.

Possibly should be but maybe with this on his mind he wasn't mentally right at present. Only he and the selectors can know that though.Just a shame he should be in India at the moment instead of Prior
This is still considerably more than in most countries, I think. The only one I know of in Norway was a handballer who retired a year after coming out. (He got badly sledged iirc, not as badly as Fashanu obviously but enough to take the fun out of sport.)Would also take issue with The Sun's assertion he's only the third high profile British sportsman to come out after Thomas and Justin Fashanu; John Amaechi, one of the very few Brits to play NBA, has also made the move. I'm no basketball fan, but have at least heard of him.
Well said!Judging by the responses and the fact that I couldnt care less myself shows we have come a long way.
I think the lack of negative reactions are equally, if not more, important than the actual coming out.
