Who is the worst ODI bowler of all time?

The Tiger King
Pysch Nkala. Daylight second, third and fourth. He may have an economy rate of "only" 5.95 but in the era he played that was far more despicable and Dernbach's rate now, and he backed that up with an average of 70 odd. He somehow managed to get selected 50 times too. He was truly, truly bad.
FMD......now I'll take Sami over this guy any day......how the **** did he play 50 games? If I were him i would just choose 1 test over the 50 ODIs that he played

Surely Dernbach should win, if only because of all the terrible ODI bowlers, he is one of the few who has got into the England team as a limited overs specialist?

England have a long history of using ODI cricket as a testing ground for potential test bowlers, which damns some players quite unfairly as they never had any claims to be much good at limited overs cricket even at lower levels. But Dernbach doesn't fall into that category.

At least Saj looks like he ought to be a decent bowler, even if ultimately he almost always flatters to deceive

Furball

Evil Scotsman
Dernbach actually looks pretty decent when he swings it at 90mph.

For some inexplicable reason he oftens abandons that for one of his million variations on the slow pie.

Do most of the Sky guys still rate Dernbach?
Not from what I heard this evening. "Time to move on" was Nasser's verdict, while Smith said that the New Zealanders would see him as no threat, and probably look forward to facing him.

Let us have him back at Surrey, please. He usually does well for us!

tbf didn't he play a lot of his games after much of Zimbabwe's good players walked out?

Dernbach is indeed the worst. He has literally no redeemable qualities. Except for being great at ***ual favours

Fairly sure Nkala was more likely to move the ball of the straight than Dirt

I think playing Dernbach here was a ploy - by taking him away Surrey had to pick Tremlett...
