So bloody important for these two to get to lunch.

Bowling's been too full to Trott. Need to hurry him more.

The best thing about the Starc omission is the lack of footmarks Swann can bowl into, don't expect him to be as dangerous as TB
Don't think so. More pace and bounce will be far more helpful to him than a worn pitch that's desperately slow. He'll get turn on practically anything anyway.

Good session that. I noticed the old lady in the blue hat buggered off when the wickets were tumbling. Fair weather supporter.

Woodster

International Captain
Decent recovery from England there in that morning session, at 28-3 the day was in danger of seriously awry, but these two have batted with discipline but also put the majority of the loose stuff away. Harris showed why his inclusion was important to the tourists, got some decent swing away from the right-handers but also threatened when it's run in down the slope. Pattinson just being a little wayward in line and didn't his areas with enough consistency.

Bell looks comfortable with his game now, he has almost allowed the ball to hit his bat without any momentum going into the shot at times relying purely on his touch and timing and finding the gaps in the field. Trott too is going about things in his own way, not missing much at all when the bowlers drift too straight. He has been ruffled with the odd short ball, and should be a definite ploy for the Aussies, and if Trott does stick around for a while after lunch we may get a short ball assault on him for half an hour or so at some point.

Very good session for our blokes to have the soap dodgers three down on this surface. Need another two and can break the innings wide open.

Such a shame that Harris has had so many injury problems as he is such a superb bowler
