  • Hi Woodster, this is great. I have lost track of the amount of conversations I have had or heard recently about the dwindling number of West Indians getting exposure in UK club cricket.

It's all about getting it seen, so I would contact WIPA ( http://www.wiplayers.com/]West Indies Players' Association) and some of the more proactive cricket boards like the Barbados Cricket Association and the TTCB.

Could also try and get a slot on the Caribbean cricket podcast to talk through what you're doing and try to reach some west Indies cricketers (https://caribbeancricket.substack.com).
    Morning mate

A rural XI will not be club cricket. It will be teams put together from outside the main cities and towns.

Rovers CC is KZN isn'tint ? If in Premier League. That will be main club league in KZN.
All good mate. I'll probably see the boys at grade trials this weekend. I'll message them ahead of time.
    HI Mate,
Got some feedback from the blokes. They said they heard about cricX via FB, and they sent inbox messages about going to the UK. Nick said he had no issues with them at all, only that the fee going through them seemed a bit high, but they have to make $ after all. Scott Copperfield said pretty much the same thing. The bloke messages players via social media a lot and is apparently very good at it. I presume he looks up grade club pages, sees who's mentioned on them then looks up the stats for the players. He said if you could jag a state player as a marketing sort of base, it would no doubt help a lot, and to get active on SM as well as approach the UK clubs and tell them your fees are lower.

I'm still trying to get some info on exactly what the fees are/ were for you.

    Hope that helps a bit.
    Hey mate,

Was wondering if you could spare a few seconds to complete my survey. Would be much appreciated.
