Should have picked Durham's second XI bowling attack for Loins. Would have the Aussies all out by now.

Elsewhere Durham's first choice bowling attack is doing nicely. 5 to go.
Just reading that Slurrey will be penalised 3 points for slow over rate if they don't make Durham bat again and pick that up. That'll wipe out their 3 bowling points, so they'd score zero for the game.

Long way to go for nothing ... maybe we'll be able to set them 20 or 30 and then get Ansari and Spriegel firing them in off two paces. I don't give much for our chances of staying up though.

Don't think the Champions are placed too cleverly either :(

Don't actually like the idea of Lancs going down if we get up, lose the chance for a Roses fixture in the CC. Last years at Leeds was a good match form what I could gather on the radio.

Worcester looking in with a good chance of upsetting the leaders. Will make the top and bottom of the table very interesting should Worcester win.

You'd have to think Surrey are doomed for relegation the way they've been playing post maynard death. But otherwise could be exciting end to season at top and bottom.

James Taylor out 2nd ball to Rehman. Should only ingratiate himself further to his new England teammates who know only too well how not to play pakistani spinners.

Durham complete their win against Slurrey. Looking decidedly dodgy for Lancashire if Worcestershire take advantage of Woakes-less Warwickshire. Cue Marc to say how they're not at all missing half their team when Woakes is away.

Will be a real 48 pointer when Lancashire and Worcestershire play next week.

Slurrey only got docked two points for slow over rate, so got out of the game with a point.

Edit: Cricinfo contradicting itself, on the report it says docked one point...

England seem to like Tredwell but he has got to be a chance to go to India.
To be fair Tredwell did take out three of the top seven, of which Kerrigan only managed two.

Personally I don't see a lot of point in taking three spinners regardless tbh.

I see the other Mitch Johnson has turned up today.

Oh and Worcestershire are actually going to lose this aren't they?

Lions- Aus a game well poised going into the last day. ideally england add 80 or so more in 20 overs leaving Aus a 280 in 72 overs which leaves the game open for Australia to chase the score down whilst england should favour their chances bowling last on a dustbowl.

unfortunately it being a two match series england may be a bit conservative with their declaration and may leave 290 in 65 or 300 in 60.

Should be a good final day. Thinking of going upto Birmingham next week to watch the second match.
