Group F (Super 8) - Sri Lanka, Australia, India, West Indies

Lovely bit of bowling from the young leggie. Nice bit of flight, but it was a terrible stroke from Chandimal. Mindlessly running down the track and swinging like a rusty gate. Been a brilliant performance from Australia.

SL have a tail like a rat, it must be said. Didn't see a lot of Randiv, but don't expect mauch from Mendis, Malinga & Welly.

That's your lot then, Johnson finds the perfect tailender dispatcher: full(ish) and straight.

Awesome performance from Oz and good result for India too. If Oz beat the Windies and they turn SL over they're through I'd guess.

Well, that was a belting!

What would zero sub-continent teams in the semis do for world cricket?

SL got punked.. they had Aus in control but the pressure of playing against a team like Aus got to them..

Aus have given Ind a window of opportunity (if they beat WI as well)! The Q is will Ind take it?

A piece of stats: so far in this tourney, Aus has beaten all four test teams from the sub-continent. On all four occasions, Aus batted first

Given the way those teams have handled Australia's bowling, do you think it would have made a difference if they'd batted first?

I think the only team that can beat Aussie is NZ to be honest or perhaps England on a good day.

Can't say but lets put it other way: do you think Aus would have won all the 4 games, if it had chased considering the added pressure when chasing? (in a way saying that none of the four teams would have exploited the added pressure on Aus to chase)

Your answer would also answer the Q you put forward.

Yeah, is interesting the different mindsets of course, if you're batting first there isn't that scoreboard pressure of a chase.

Would hope they'd have chased down 88 though!

haha yeah I would hope that too, but here you assumed SL would have scored the same batting first

It's an interesting point, Australia have twice recovered well from starting off poorly. Today's recovery from White and Hussey was superb.

Jeez, that's a good effort from Warner (I think?). Looked a four for all money. Top commitment on the boundary.

EDIT: Nup, Christian on as the sub. Top stop, anyway.
D Christian = WAG. Both Nannes and Tait bowling very, very well.

Nice to see Smith coming on as a bowler too.
