Where would he go? SA won't want him in three or four years. The IPL won't play him without England's clearance. The ICL? Doubt he'd go there.Absolutely no-one does utter ****-ups like the English. Fair makes makes my bosom swell with patriotic pride.![]()
KP overplayed his hand it would seem. Big worry is he leaves for pastures new.![]()
Converting into Islam would be a huge first step.KP could take up Pakistani citizenship and then play in the IPL with an NOC from the PCB. Its not like Pakistan play any test cricket to clash with the IPL anyway.
Although to be entirely realistic, Pakistan does seem to have extremely stringent norms for citizenship and would require a lot of evidence from KP to that end.
Haha, maybe your right. He could well become the ultimate cricket-slutKP could take up Pakistani citizenship and then play in the IPL with an NOC from the PCB. Its not like Pakistan play any test cricket to clash with the IPL anyway.
.
I was foolish enough to believe that the captaincy had actually made him a more mature and sensible character. Whoops.KP is a great cricketer but an idiot. This was always a possibility when he was given the captaincy.
Should never have happened.![]()
If I were you, I'd prefer my captain to be English with Pietersen obviously still in the side as a batsman, but thats just me. Wouldn't sit well with me if NZ had a non New Zealander as skipper to be totally honest.I am distraught
Me too.I was foolish enough to believe that the captaincy had actually made him a more mature and sensible character. Whoops.
If Pietersen doesn't sign his central contract, on what grounds can the ECB refuse a NOC for him to play a full season in the IPL?Well he can’t chuck the lot in for the IPL for he would need clearance from the ECB.
That's besides the point. If the ECB so much as wink in the general direction of the BCCI they won't let KP play.If Pietersen doesn't sign his central contract, on what grounds can the ECB refuse a NOC for him to play a full season in the IPL?
New buddies BCCI and ECB wouldn't like to sour their relations over a player. If Pietersen doesn't sign his central contract, on what grounds can the ECB refuse a NOC for him to play a full season in the IPL?
Depends if he wants a test career or the money, I guess. He could sign as a local for one of the SA franchises, get IPL clearance from the SA board with his value increased as he'd be available for the whole tournament & then even sign for Hants or another county as an overseas player.Where would he go? SA won't want him in three or four years. The IPL won't play him without England's clearance. The ICL? Doubt he'd go there.
