The problem is that the CT squad is selected so we do need to stick with those batsmen really in this series. Of course if we're lucky a couple of them might get injured...

Yeah, but Onions has been added to the CT squad too, so you could've just put Trott in then and there.

Was just thinking that, Onions isn't exactly a regular for Durham so why it's a good idea to get him in the ODI side is beyond me.

And a poor performance in the Champions Trophy puts his place in danger for the South Africa tour as well, which is just nonsense.

Think it's a good move to bring Onions in, but as discussed, the batting has been England's problem.
