Yeah, but Onions has been added to the CT squad too, so you could've just put Trott in then and there.

Just how ****ing dumb are the selectors?
Was just thinking that, Onions isn't exactly a regular for Durham so why it's a good idea to get him in the ODI side is beyond me.

And a poor performance in the Champions Trophy puts his place in danger for the South Africa tour as well, which is just nonsense.

Think it's a good move to bring Onions in, but as discussed, the batting has been England's problem.

Only that the selectors are morons. Trott's the only English qualified batsman outside of Pietersen to have a List A average over 40, but obviously one duck against Ireland negates all those years he's spent cultivating that figure.
