Just recently Cricket Web's Fantasy Cricket game passed another milestone as the 80,000th user signed up to play the game!

The Fantasy Cricket concept was developed back in October / November 2002 after a short trial in the previous summer and the full version released to the general public at Christmas 2002 just in time for the 2003 VB Series in Australia.

Since then, 107 competitions have seen some titanic battles going right down to the wire and as of writing Abid Hussain leads the way in the Hall of Fame after winning five competitions.

So just over four years later and 80,000 users have signed up. Not bad considering we were hoping for just 50 in the very first competition!

In return for your dedication Cricket Web will shortly be announcing its latest developments to the Fantasy Cricket game, most of which have come from your suggestions, but there's a couple of little treats in there from us as well so stay tuned!
