Watson sidelined for two months

Australian allrounder, Shane Watson will be sidelined for two months, as he undergoes surgery on his dislocated left shoulder on Tuesday. Having recently been recalled to the Test team, and featured in Australia’s 379-run first Test win over the West Indies, the injury hampers his career yet again.

Watson suffered the injury whilst diving in the field on day four of the first Test.

The news may mean that Brad Hodge will finally get his maiden Test cap, after staying tight on the sidelines of Australian cricket for several months. There has also been suggestion that Andrew Symonds may get a call, as a more suitable replacement for an allrounder.
