Samuels recalled to WI Test team

Ignoring the pleas of Brian Lara, the West Indies have retained the bowling attack used in the second Test for the upcoming third Test against India, in St. Kitts. Captain Lara called for a bowler with genuine pace, in the absence of Fidel Edwards.

However, the only change to the team for the crucial third Test is the recall of batting allrounder, Marlon Samuels, ahead of specialist left-arm chinaman bowler, Dave Mohammed. Mohammed claimed 4 wickets in the first Test match, but was dropped for the second Test, as the West Indies featured a four prong seam attack.

Much of the same can be expected for the third Test, starting on Thursday.

West Indies 3rd Test squad:
BC Lara (C), RR Sarwan (vc), D Ramdin (wk), D Ganga, CH Gayle, S Chanderpaul, RS Morton, MN Samuels, IDR Bradshaw, DJJ Bravo, PT Collins, JE Taylor, CD Collymore.
