Lawson set for cricket in India

West Indian fast bowler, Jermaine Lawson may appear for Maharashtra in the upcoming Indian domestic season. Lawson is expected to sign a formal contract soon.

Lawson has had a mixed international career to date, boasting success against Australia and Sri Lanka, but also marred by throwing allegations after appearances against both countries.

The Jamaican seamer has twice been officially called for throwing, and twice cleared. However, he was called again in a club match in Jamaica earlier this year.

Lawson has taken 51 Test wickets at an average of 29.64 and 17 one-day international wickets at 29.29 apiece.
