Gibbs fit for return

Key batsman Herschelle Gibbs is set to return to the South African one-day outfit for the second and third matches against New Zealand.

Gibbs sustained a knee injury during the second Test against the same opponents, as South Africa went on to sweep the series 2-0. He has since missed a Twenty20 fixture and the first one-day international, both of which South Africa narrowly won.

Morne van Wyk was called up as cover for Gibbs, but scored a 4-ball duck in his only innings, and has been released from the squad. The second and third one-day internationals will take place on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
