Not as if Harby can't hit a ball, TBF. Seem to remember Australia especially being on the receiving end of a few of his knocks.
No, fair call. Would still take Vettori's or Swann's batting ahead of it tho; the former especially. Arguably (and with apologies to Taylor & Ryder) NZ's best bat at times. Canny performer with the ball too, even if he doesn't give it an absolute rip.

International Vice-Captain
The above figures show how far Kaneria is regressing as a bowler. Generally you expect a leg-spinner to only get better as he ages, but with Kaneria I can see no real obvious difference between the bowler now and what he was seven or eight years ago.

Still remains a useful bowler, but as the only first choice leg-spinner left in the game I hope he can carry the flame a little better. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if Zimbabwe returned to Test cricket (well that would be a shock) and Graeme Cremer be instantly recognised as the best Test leg-spinner in the world.

The qualifier to Kaneria's bad stats is that even when he bowls well he gets handed A LOT of dropped catches and missed stumpings.

Decent bowler, seems to be in particularly bad touch at the moment though.

It's Harbhajan on the subcontinent and Swann everywhere else.
Harbhajan hasn't done anything of note in the subcontinent outside India including three tests in BD.

Anyway the answer depends on who you are selecting for. Harbhajan is the better pick for India where he is a potential match-winner in his home tests and Swann is the better pick for England. If you are picking for a random team I guess Swann would have the edge though he has obviously yet to prove himself over a long period.

Vettori's bowling massively over-rated in Tests for mine. In tests I'd actually consider him to be a batting all rounder.

Best LO bowler around though. Such a gun in the shorter forms.

Bhajji - by the question asked in the poll. The OP said however who would I rather have in the team and in that case, I'll have Hauritz thanks.

The Question is : Best spinner AT THE MOMENT...

It must be Greame Swann!

Harbhajan had his moments...can be said same about Vettori as well and oh well, Mendis too had a stunning few weeks!

But at the moment, Swann. The lad is performing regularly and is a very very important part of English attack..

for limited overs cricket.. i would go with the pair of Afridi and Saeed Ajmal
for test.. it is hard.. I think if saeed ajmal is given enough chancess.. he could surpass all those bowlers.. but i voted for Swann for right now..

Voted for Vettori before realizing this was for tests. Has to be Harbhajan in tests. Mendis still needs time to fully judge and the others are simply not good enough to compare with the likes of Harbhajan. Not a fan of him but I have to say, he's clearly the best spinner of the lot at the moment IMO.

I am still not fully convinced by Swann , so voted for Harbhajan Marginally.

Don't think any others come withing touching distance.
