They are also reporting that Bale is about to sign a new contract. Apparently going to have a release clause of £50 million that can be triggered at the end of next season.

Well that was unexpected.

Always used to like him but it would be just fantastic if went back to Chelsea and failed.

It's seemed likely for a while, not heard a peep about him wanting to leave. They'll really expect to improve by a lot if he stays, it'll make next season really interesting.

(re. Watford not winning the play-off final) Hope springs eternal...
It does in these parts. Obviously we're completely ignoring what will happen if we do go up, especially without Wilfried, but since we've got this far it would be nice to have one of our occasional seasons in the PL. Especially at the expense of Udinese 'B'.

C'mon Dean Moxey:)

Anyway looking a fascinating prem next year really, Pellegrini, Mourinho, Tottenham keeping Bale, Arsenals strong finish to this season, United with a new inferior manager.

May get a genuinely open race between many. All sprinkled with Di Canio being mental. Could make up for this ****e season.

Sure he will be bringing his fantastic brand of football to a championship side soon enough.

In some ways I will miss him at Stoke though, I really dislike them but they were something to really object to rather than being just a bland mid-table side.

Paul Tisdale has in a couple of weeks moved from about 5th longest serving manager, to second.

Not exactly been a great time for him either, but yeah know I reckon he may outlast Arsene.
