Amazing that a batsman as talented and coordinated as KP can have hands like feet in the field. He's always been iffy.
Yeah, ashes summer 2005 sums his fielding up. Took some really good catches in the one dayers in the deep and shelled everything in the tests. All or nothing with him in both parts of his game it seems.

MS playing a gem here. Our bowlers are crap though.. so even 300 isn't safe. Hopefully it turns a bit.

Brilliant innings by dhoni, really happy with the score. Hope our bowlers can defend this total

Must've been a good knock by Dhoni. Just looking at cricinfo updates while watching Kiefer and Emilio get the job done in Young Guns. Send the army in!

I actually wonder if we're bowling Swann out too early. None of the rest of our bowlers seem to have any idea how to keep the runs down once we're past 35 overs.

Because sportsmanship dictates that if a batsman deflects the ball away from the fielders then you don't take extra runs from it.
I thought that was fair game tbh, so long as it wasn't a fielder's throw that deflected it off.

I've seen people out caught off drives deflecting off the non-striker.

That happens when a fielder throw is deflected by a batsmen, not a batsmen stroke. Its not like he deflected it for four runs

Gone for an hour an that happens. I'd be surprised, but I'd be hoping rather than trusting for Dernbach and Finn not to go for runs at the end.

Disappointing from Bresnan. Needed to step up as the only front line quick on tour.

Well played MS. Knows this game like the back of his arm guard.

Pretty sure that whatever India just got in their last 20 overs would be a decent T20 score.

Too many ****ing wides.

The thing to balance that with though is that if we don't take early wickets, we're screwed. So they did the right thing to bring him on early.

I'd agree that we should have been bowling more of our 5th bowler earlier than we bowled out Swann, and Finn should have got more of a run in the middle overs where his extra pace would help to pin the batsmen back more while they were looking to knock it around rather than go for it.

That's what I thought. Symmo getting caught off a ricochet from Clarke's pad comes to mind. If that popped up and they got a catch, they'd merrily have claimed it.

should be chase-able considering how weak Indian bowling is..

Keiswetter, Trott, Cook - one of them should stay long and win them through!

If not, who knows it might be KP's day in Hyderabad
