If we win this and make sure the series can not be lost but only drawn, I am sure we will see some rank turners to rub it in. It will be so good to see those pitches again whether we win or lose.

Why has Tredwell never been given any chances in red ball cricket? He seemed alright in the one day matches whenever i saw him. I doubt he'd be worse than Ansari or Batty at least.
I'm not sure that Tredwell even plays red ball cricket for his county. He's been a a one-day specialist for several years now.

You'll probably think this is bollocks, but I genuinely found them a bit meh. I was there the first day of the 3rd test, I've never known an Edgbaston crowd so subdued. Don't get me wrong I was happy that we were playing so well. In contrast I was at the 5th day of the Lords test, which was one of the best days cricket I've ever seen live, in easily the best atmosphere I've experienced at Lords, probably due to the thousands of Indian fans who queued up to get in.
Enjoyed all of that series because England were just such a genuinely good side at the time, the last couple of Tests in 2014 were just pathetic though.

Today the first of the series that I did not watch a ball, picked a pretty good one to miss. This Test has been really disappointing, we were always going to lose games but we had plenty of good days in the first two Tests, not got anywhere near that level here.

Man I would love that. It's just so much more exciting. The match may only last 3 days but those are some exciting 3 days. No more lower order making 200 ****

Kinda thought Hameed or Buttler should have come out at 4.

Broken finger or not, England would almost certainly needed Hameed to bat should they win/draw. No point him coming in at 10 or 11 tomorrow with England 10 runs in the lead. Stokes and Bairstow have both had big workloads over this test and were in need of a break at the end of the day but yet had to walk into bat at 4 and 5. Just isn't sustainable for those two especially in Asia. Can't have a specialist bat hiding at 7 whilst Stokes is batting 5 and banging out 26 full blown overs over the previous day and a half.

Kinda thought it was stupid when the rotate keepers during match theory came up but if they were ever going to do it it should have been today. Bairstow keeping was pretty ragged and he could have rested up for batting.

We've been pretty abject with the bat and fielding in these last two matches, nothing to do with pitches we haven't taken chances and have given wickets away. Not sure where we go really.

I was there for Day 2 of Edgbaston as Dhoni had all the blokes on the fence for Cook all day. Worst day of Test cricket I've been to.
At least I met Gilo.

Whatever it takes!!!
Yeah I think I got my first and third test venues mixed up in my earlier post. We were so excited for that 5 test series too. :( What a shame it was.

Nightwatchman just about did his job, hey. He's certainly not interested in the performance-based incentives.
