I don't see why human umpires are so holy in the first place. I watch cricket for the players and the game, and the last thing I want is some random making a crap decision.

I've a question about UDRS that I cbf looking up the answer to for myself:

Is it only wickets/potential wickets that can be refered and overturned?

For example, if someone bowls a wide in a one day fixture, but they're sure it brushed the batsman's leg, are they able to refer the decision, and subsequently, is the third umpire allowed to overturn the decision?
narp. sonly wickets.

Also the worst thing they could do with drs is give the umps on the field the chance to draw a tv in the air like they do with run outs, or there will be 8 or 9 referrals per over.

Say a bowler bowls down the leg side in an ODI. They appeal as they think the batsman has hit it. The umpire gives it a wide. It gets refered as the fielding team believe the batsman has hit it, but it turns out it has come off the thigh guard.

Is the third umpire allowed to award a dot ball instead of a wide?

no. they cant adjudicate on forward passes or wides.

One player in particular has been told to book his ticket home...book his ticket... hold on Mark i just have to fix something

The result of this match pretty much a foregone conclusion really, and that's how I like them

Make DRS mandatory, make Aleem Dar the third umpire, Simon Taufel the system operator, GeraintIsMyHero and Spikey the two ground umpires, and let every ****ing decision be made by the third umpire, and let ground umpires only be there to tie the shoe-laces of Indian batsmen...

I will support DRS !!!
