Go cry in your curry mate. Lol.That was uncalled for!!
Good for you. I prefered watching cricket the way it used to be, you didn't. Good chat.Benchy, I don't see how wrong decisions add to the beauty of the game. They just make it incredibly annoying and unless you're 1980s Windies or 2000s Australia, can completely change the course of the match.
Hiding Racist comment behind a Lol ?Go cry in your curry mate. Lol.
Pretty sure duffer is of Indian descent...Hiding Racist comment behind a Lol ?
And pretty sure that Indian people can be racist towards Indian people as well. It is all about context and in the manner that post was made, it was pretty offensive.Pretty sure duffer is of Indian descent...
Look man, If you are going with an intention to enjoy the game, it will be fun whether or not UDRS is there. I have watched cricket in an era where Umpring was pathetically poor, umpires were incompetent and biased and I am sure many bad decisions were made. I don't remember a single umpring error but I remember almost every test match that I watched.I hope there's no DRS this summer. WIll be so much fun
Yeah excellent point. If you watch the game for the human elements, like most do, then having a contest between bat and ball which is as fair* as possible can only be a good thing. Human elements like umpires making mistakes aren't enjoyable, they're highly irritating and detract from the quality of the game. I don't really see the difference between poor umpiring decisions and something like poorly prepared pitches. Both reduce the importance of skills in determining the outcome of the game, and increase the role of luck in succeeding. How is that good for the game?I think UDRS makes the human contest between bat and ball purer.
Tell that to all the complainers from the last series down hereLook man, If you are going with an intention to enjoy the game, it will be fun whether or not UDRS is there. Complainers are going to complain with/without DRS. Has UDRS been controversy free ?Tell that to all the complainers from the last series down here
I find no DRS more exciting for sure though
I remember Matt Prior seeming to refer a wide in an ODI at the start of a year.I've a question about UDRS that I cbf looking up the answer to for myself:
Is it only wickets/potential wickets that can be refered and overturned?
For example, if someone bowls a wide in a one day fixture, but they're sure it brushed the batsman's leg, are they able to refer the decision, and subsequently, is the third umpire allowed to overturn the decision?
Please don't say that. You know what will happen...It doesn't undermine the umpires any less than the third umpire undermines the umpires when it comes to runouts.
