Key to the game is do India believe they can win the match after not beating Australia all tour and not ever looking like winning a game.

#wontgiveitback guys. Got the umps on our side, even the ICC prez accepts that
How about the fact that ECB helped BCCI in buying the umpires to avenge the group stage loss to Bangladesh?

Any cheesy conspiracy theory comes to your mind?

Nah India competed at the MCG in the tri-series. But yeah they would need to play out of their skins to win this one.

Is that really true. The Aussies were effectively 4 down for 83 today while chasing 214. India putting up 280ish on the board would make them the favorites.

Yet we won with six wickets (including two specialist or at least good bats) left and ages left to play. Can't really draw an equivalence either, I could just as easily point to India's superficially shaky but actually quite comfortable chase against WI as (non)-evidence.

Nah self-belief is not an issue for India at this stage. They are surely in a situation where they believe they can win this - the question is not whether they believe, but whether they really can

Can't really see Aussies losing this one. Batting is a little bit stronger(Because of impact players) and deeper than the Indians. Definitely stronger bowling up. India may have to bat first and score more than 300 to put Australia under pressure. Chasing Australian target of more than 270 looks highly unlikely. So toss would be crucial as well from an Indian point of view.

Just wish we don't drop any catches like we've done against India this summer (albeit they were in tests not odis).

Whatever it takes!!!
We are gonna get soooooooooo smashed... That Aussie batting line up is scary good... Worst part is, a whole bunch of them love playing against India.. Smith, Clarke, Watson, Maxwell, Faulkner.. All 5 have demolished our bowling attacks in ODIs so many times.. And Starc's yorkers can get anyone out, and we only have like 7 decent batting options... It is all gonna come crashing down next Thursday for us. :( Oh well.. T' was good while it lasted.

Watson averages 21 v India in Aus(38 v India)
Clarke averages 32 v India in Aus(40 v India)

This is 50/50 imo. The team that handles the pressure of the occasion will come out as winner
