Looks a good team
The bowling looks pretty decent. Not sure about the batting though.Looks a good team
Yep it's like history has been erased and he hasn't batted like a tail ender for the last 30 of his 49 tests.....I think Chase is batting too high up the order.
Anything higher than 12 in the order is a surprise.I think Chase is batting too high up the order.
Yeah, Thanos in his test career was a walking wicket against pace bowling. Boggles my mind that he’s in here because of white ball exploits. But, we are in 2025 and white ball prowess is a huge factor in modern test teams. So, fingers crossed on his role as the leader of the team.Yep it's like history has been erased and he hasn't batted like a tail ender for the last 30 of his 49 tests.....
Still, it's a new era, and my gut feeling is that this is the strongest test side we've put out for a while. The previous batting lineup was horrendous so we have nothing to lose.
I like Shai as a keeper batting at 6, it balances the side. Also, I have a feeling he will perform better at 6 where his technical issues/staying leg side of the ball will be less exposed.
I would have had Anderson at 3 instead of Carty and Phillip instead of Alzarri. Both suck at tests and Carty's FC record suggests he won't be changing that anytime soon.
But overall I'm more excited at this lineup than I have been for a while. Especially if they bat more positively than some of the dross under Kraigg.
He’s Thanos…he’ll probably score a flawless 0 (1) & 0 (1)Anything higher than 12 in the order is a surprise.
Watch him score a double now.
which to me makes it all the more boggling they haven't picked roach - i get the idea of building for the future but they're a real shot at pinching a series here against a transitional australia with some injuries if they play their cards correctlyThese are surely going to be some low-scoring tests lol. Both sides are incredibly bowling-dominant.
They're going to make 500 plus and it'll be the start of another dynasty of Australian dominance in the test format.Guess we are going to see the worst Aust batting line up since 2019 BGT
NoIs Seales that big left armer who gives a military salute every time he takes a wicket?
Yeah, Green seems a bit high at 3, but given their options currently (or, at least, their unwillingness to explore other options), I guess it makes sense. His stiffness around his front pad early in his innings doesn't exactly inspire confidence if we lose an opener early, but then this experience will prove fruitful for him when he is scoring 4 centuries during another clean sweep in The Ashes at the end of the year.I'd prefer to see Green at four, though I don't think Inglis' technique is up to batting any higher.
