given nz throw one or two limited overs caps to players at random this will be tricky.

1. Greg Hay
2. Michael Guptill-Bunce
3. Robbie O'Donnell
4. Will Young (c)
5. Dane Cleaver
6. Josh Clarkson
7. Tim Seifert (wk)
8. Ajaz Patel
9. Jacob Duffy
10. Kyle Jamieson
11. Ed Nuttall

What a weird career Greg Hay has had. Average over 40, can bat anywhere, no glaring weaknesses and passed over his whole career for the likes of Marshall, Nicol, Redmond and Flynn.

Not a poor team given the rules.
That and deciding to give 5 years of cricket a miss.

International Vice-Captain
For England, based on current domestic cricket (this team will be an all format XI), I'd go for:

1. R Burns (Surrey)
2. M Richardson (Durham)
3. N Browne (Essex)
4. D Lawrence (Essex)
5. B Foakes wk (Surrey)
6. Bell-Drummond (Kent)
7. J Clark (Lancashire)
8. J Leach (Somerset)
9. J Porter (Essex)
10. B Coad (Yorkshire)
11. J Overton (Somerset)

Some players I could have picked but they aren't eligible (yet) to play for England.
Richardson opening? He'll not last very long.

I am getting in before T20I squads are announced.

1 D Hughes
2 J Weatherald
3 K Patterson
4 D Short
5 J Lehmann
6 J Wildermuth
7 S Whiteman
8 M Neser
9 M Swepson
10 C Sayers
11 M Kelly

Where are the right handed batsman? Marcus Harris could bat 3 and then Wildermuth and Neser could fight it out for the all rounder spot I guess too.
Update: Short Wildermuth Neser Swepson Sayers ruled out.

1 Marcus Harris
2 Jake Weatherald
3 Kurtis Patterson
4 Jake Lehmann c
5 Jake Doran
6 Josh Philippe
7 Josh Inglis+
8 Jason Sangha
9 Cameron Green
10 Brendan Doggett
11 Gabe Bell

Pucovski comes in as soon as he returns from illness. Maybe should have played Pope ahead of Sangha as this team will struggle for wickets.

Omission of Bertus a glaring weakness tbh. What are you, a NSW selector or something?

due to all the random t20 caps this is tricky. will miss at least one obvious player.

greg hay
rachin ravindra (5)
will young (c)
devon conway
finn allen
willem ludick (6)
dane cleaver (wk)
scott kugglejuggle (3)
nathan smith (2)
kyle jamieson (1)
blair tickner (4)

that was a hard middle order to pick

State Vice-Captain
Pathum Nissanka
Hasitha Boyagoda (kid who scored 191 in the U19 WC vs Kenya, played few T20s)
Charith Asalanka
Bhanuka Rajapakshe
Minod Bhanuka
Lahiru Milantha (wk)
Sammu Ashan
Chamika Karunaratne
Nishan Pieris
Lasith Ambuldeniya
Nipun Ransika (only played T20s)

lots of cricketers have been handed out international caps, thanks to trhe policy of Sanath Jayasuriya who used to be the chairman of the selection committee. IIRC over 40+ players played ODIs in between 2016-2017

I have to find three more players. Thre was a left arm spinner played in 60s for Ceylon, very much like Underwood (and said to spin it more), cannot recall his name. I need a keeper, may be a new one, and a seamer.

Kehelgamuwa had the distinction of beating Boycott for pace on three consecutive deliveries and then uprooting his middle in the foutrth.

OK, No. 9 goes to Dayananda Sahabandu, who was a left arm leg cutters bowler. And here is Sahabandu, and note the similarity to a certain fast bowler.

India Test side:

1. Abhinav Mukund
2. Shikhar Dhawan
3. Cheteshwar Pujara
4. Mithun Manhas
5. Bhavik Thaker
6. Wriddhiman Saha (wk)
7. Rajat Bhatia
8. Ravichandran Ashwin
9. Sudeep Tyagi
10. Mohnish Parmar
11. Dhawal Kulkarni
Not great, 2009 Manee. Very dodgy middle order there.

Harris and KPat out, Pucovski in.

If I was naming a T20 team:

1 Jake Weatherald
2 Max Bryant
3 Daniel Hughes
4 Sam Harper+
5 Josh Philippe
6 Jordan Silk
7 Daniel Sams
8 Chris Green
9 Matthew Kelly
10 Brendan Doggett
11 Riley Meredith

Only 5 bowling options is a concern but I like the different types of batsman in this lineup.

Josh Lalor is having a good season so he just missed out.

ODI team

1 Josh Philippe
2 Jake Weatherald
3 Daniel Hughes
4 Will Pucovski
5 Jake Lehmann
6 Jordan Silk
7 Daniel Sams
8 Will Sutherland
9 Matthew Kelly
10 Matthew Kuhnemann
11 Riley Meredith

Dan Hughes might look out of place but his ODI record is great. Plus i feel like it sures up the batting more. Matt Short was considered over Silk as youd want 7-11 to bowl all the overs in my team.

Im not including Tom C00per since he has played for Netherlands.
