Australia should always field first, imo. Pretty obvious that we don't have the balls to bowl last.

Johnson and Siddle bowled too many ****ing overs though - that really was Clarke's fault. After Johnson got hammered for ten runs in that PowerPlay over that should've been his lot.
To an extent, yes. Bowling Smith more might have covered for Johnson but if he didn't bowl Siddle, all he had was Hastings and Watson to make up the short-fall. Not a lot to work with and if he'd bowled those two and they got smashed, he'd have been bollocked way more than he will here for not using the designated specialists. Can't win.

Dudded with almost 6 overs to spare against a team with a dodgy batting line-up save for two players. Embarrassing.

Lol, Healy doesn't understand a word Malinga said there.
Reminded me of the first interview Ramnaresh Sarwan gave in 2000, to Simon O'Donnell. He just made noises, it was so funny, guy couldnt speak any language clearly.

To be fair to .. myself :p ... I was calling it at the time, though. Lots were. It's not like I'm just saying it in hindsight.

Holy crap, what a game! Kudos Sri Lanka! That was awesome.

Another nail in the Clarke-captaincy-coffin perhaps?

Yeah, still haven't come to grips with Simon's twang either.

Confirmed that Smith couldn't bowl due to injury. Fair enough. Still definitely would've bowled Clarke more instead of letting Johnson keep going and going despite getting belted.

Clarke at least seems gutted. Smith was injured according to Pup. Asking Nicholas for advice. :(

Maybe but if you need a bit of a freak wicket, I'd back Johnson in more so than Smith even notwithstanding Clarke's just announced back complaint.

There's not really a way to escape that Siddle and Johnson bowled plenty of stuff in their half to tail-enders on the mow. Were bowling for the top-edge, out, see ya Charlie but didn't get it then didn't know what else to do. Considering they were his only specialist bowlers, I reckon he deserves a bit of lattitude. He certainly didn't lose Australia the game, the batting did.
