Hayden's nailed on, but I think I'm going to have to take Smith ahead of Sehwag. Although that's liable to change on a whim.

Yeah, AWTA. That's the reason I haven't voted yet; I'll have a think about it and vote tomorrow I think. I'm inclined to vote for Smith, but I think I might be biased by the fact that I'm a bigger fan of Smith than Sehwag as such, so I'll give it a bit of thought.

went for smith and hayden. smith edged out sehwag coz we may need him to skipper the side eventually.

Hayden's a shoe-in, so I've gone for Langer. Up there stats-wise, and why break up such a successful partnership since they complimented each other so well?

I'm tempted to go for the pair of Hayden and Langer, since we already know how they'd do. But I think Sehwag is just as good and am picking him for reasons of respect.

Hayden and Sehwag against the opening bowlers of the team of the 80's would be a sight to behold. Irresistible objects against irresistible forces. Something's gotta give!

Warne?. Or will there be a criteria restriction that captain had to have at least skippered in tests?.

Either way Hayden & Langer for me.

As great as Sehwag is, it's worth noting that neither he nor Gambhir were rated as one of India's best openers as recently as their 2007 tour up here.

I'll take the fat lads: Hayden and Smith.

Hayden & Sehwag. Sehwag edges out Smith in regards that he is brilliant when in form. Gambhir's only been good for 2 years.

That's a pretty good point. Langer's a bit undervalued these days I reckon. The trusty parrot on Cap'n Hayden's shoulder.
