Japan though, lol. Still not beyond the "don't kick the ball into your own net" stage of defending.

Chiles: Man of the match by a mile I'd have thought, Wayne Rooney

What ****ing game was he watching?

Hopefully somewhere between Austria and South Africa they find the ability to pass it to their own team-mates.

English players for 150 years have perfected the "head down, charge around aimlessly" approach, what makes you think it'll suddenly change in the next 2 weeks?

Edit : There's two :p And then Andy Townsend agrees with me.
Never a good thing.

Did not have to watch this to imagine exactly how we would have played.

Meh who cares the world cup is great anyway even when we are poor, our games always the worst to watch but would still expect us to reach the quaterfinals.

No Vidosic. Hopefully he comes off the bench for a stint. Moore starting. Yuck. Keen for some Bresc to Kennedy action.

Works better than the "not qualifying" approach you lot have mastered for the past decade

Absolute miracle Kennedy scored that. Has the sublime first touch of an elephant.

Better than vs NZ, a lot more organised at least. We seem to be getting better as the game's gone on tbh.

Really not a bad performance, as long as you're not worried about actually scoring goals. Hilarious way to win.

Haha, true. Far better in defence though.

Interesting pitch it must be said, and the way the players on both teams had the ball flying over their heads at altitude was bloody hilarious.

And it must be said, coke-fiend Mark Bosnich ****s me to tears. We aren't the 1970 Brazil side mate. Deal with it.

Clapo, thought Grella was quite poor tbh. Seems a shadow of four years ago really.

International Coach
Harsh call on a goalie...can't recall him diving or handballing anytime recently...

Regarding Englands loss to Japan..Gimh...see Signature :p

*well aware Australia will be trounced at the WC

Dutch beat Ghana 4-1. Late flurry of well worked goals, typical loss of concentration at the back allows a goal for Ghana.
