Zimbabwe look to November 2007

Zimbabwe coach Kevin Curran told media that Zimbabwe will be ready for a return to Test cricket in November 2007, after withdrawing from Test cricket in early 2006 after the loss of 20 senior players due to the leadership of Zimbabwe President Robert Mugabe.

Zimbabwe are scheduled to play the West Indies at home in November next year, and are already planning a number of four-day matches against ‘A’ teams from around the cricketing world to give the Zimbabwe team further international experience. The average age of the team is only 21 years of age.

Zimbabwe are currently preparing for a three-match one-day international series against South Africa with the first one-dayer at Goodyear Park in Bloemfontein on 15th September.
