World Cup 2011 Final’s Hosting

It has been announced that India will host the final of the 2011 World Cup with Sri Lanka and Pakistan sharing a semi-final each, while Bangladesh will host the opening ceremony.

India will host 22 matches, Pakistan 16, Sri Lanka nine and Bangladesh six in total across the tournament.

The Pakistan Cricket Board director Abbas Zaidi said that all four cricket boards wanted to see each country benefit from the tournament which saw a pain free process in deciding on each countries allocation of matches.
