Two Twenty20 World Cups Coming

The International Cricket Council has announced that two Twenty20 World Cups will be played within the next three years, after a world meeting in Dubai gained support from all the test playing nations except India.

New Zealand Cricket CEO Martin Snedden has said India is a lone voice in expressing concerns, with all the other test playing nations endorsing the ICC’s plan.

India’s viewpoint is that international Twenty20 cricket will de-value one-day internationals.

The first Twenty20 World Cup is likely to be played in England in 2008.
