Turner on NZ Selection Panel?

Glenn Turner looks set to join the New Zealand selection panel to add the batting expertise NZC feel they have been lacking.

Currently the selection panel is made up of John Bracewell, Ross Dykes, Sir Richard Hadlee and Brian McKechnie who are all bowlers. With the addition of Glenn Turner it is felt this would bring some balance to the selection team.

Glenn Turner has been coaching the Otago domestic team for four years and looks the ideal candidate with his coaching and playing experience. Turner played 41 tests and ODIs for New Zealand and ended his career with an average of 44.64 in tests and 47.00 in ODIs.

Nominations for the role close on the 13th of May with an announcement likely a few days after.
