Sri Lanka to tour in 2007

Sri Lanka will tour New Zealand next January, following confirmation by Sri Lanka CEO Dilip Mendis this morning.

This comes after India announced the cancellation of their tour for 2007.

Mendis said on Radio Sport there will be test and one-day matches, but the schedule will not be ratified until next month’s ICC meeting in Dubai.

It comes as a big relief for New Zealand fans, who had only Bangladesh touring next summer.
