Scott Styris – “I’m ready to go”

Scott Styris has declared himself 100% fit and available for selection for the Black Caps after getting over his calf strain injury and proving his match fitness with Auckland in the domestic leagues.

Styris’ most recent performance was scoring 25 from nine balls and taking one wicket in Auckland’s 19 run domestic Twenty20 win over Central Districts yesterday.

Styris has said he spoke to convener of selectors Sir Richard Hadlee last night, but as yet does not know if he will be heading to Australia or not.
