Rain spoils yet another game

Heavy rain in Dublin, Ireland has again meant an abandoned match in the Ireland Quadrangular Series. This time between the hosts and the West Indies.

Overnight rain meant play didn’t start until the afternoon where only 17.2 overs were possible before the match was called off.

Ireland were in trouble when the rain came with the hosts 84-4 with the West Indies seam attack generating good swing in overcast conditions. Daren Powell was the pick of the bowlers taking 2-29 from seven overs, while Eoin Morgan top scored with 37 not out.

There is one match left to play in the tournament with that being played tomorrow between Ireland and Scotland.
