Pathan returns home from SAF

India fast bowler Irfan Pathan has returned home from South Africa to gain some much needed confidence by playing domestic cricket.

Pathan struggled through the one-day series against South Africa taking only one wicket from three games and then missing out on selection for the first two Test matches.

Indian chief selector Dilip Vengsarkar made the decision to send Pathan home to try and inspire home to regain the sort of form he started international cricket with.
