NZC consider standby request

New Zealand Cricket is looking for more information before committing itself to being on standby for a tri-series in South East Asia next month.

New Zealand and Sri Lanka have been asked by the Indian Cricket Board to be on standby should the West Indies Cricket Board fail to secure the agreement of their players for participation in the seven match one-day international tri-series in Malaysia and Singapore.

Martin Snedden, the New Zealand Cricket CEO confirmed that they had received an approach from the Indian Cricket Board but has asked for further information before taking it any further.
