New Zealand A coach in the hunt

New Zealand A and Canterbury coach Dave Nosworthy is on the shortlist for the Indian national team coaching position.

Dave Nosworthy who is currently in Darwin with the New Zealand A team who are playing a series of matches against local Australian competition is alongside Australian’s Terry Oliver and John Dyson for the role of Indian coach.

Nosworthy told media that he knew nothing about his application, and said it must have been submitted by his agent without his knowledge.

“I haven’t heard anything from anyone but I do have a representative in London who looks after these things for me, and acts on my behalf – that’s how I got the Canterbury job. Right now I’m just enjoying my time with Canterbury and NZC. It’s news to me that people are talking about me in India,” he said.
