McCullum for Glamorgan

New Zealand’s dynamic wicketkeeper batsman Brendon McCullum has accepted a five week contract to play for Glamorgan from 23rd June. He will replace Australian Mark Cosgrove who will be playing for Australia A.

McCullum will join his Blackcaps teammate James Franklin who played a part in luring McCullum to the County.

Glamorgan have recruited a fearless and fast scoring batsman. His unforgettable match winning 50 from just 25 balls was crucial for New Zealand to chase down a then world record run chase of 322 Australia in the final Chappell Hadlee trophy match last year. Consequently, McCullum?s style of play will be an asset for the Twenty20 Cup and the three Championship matches to be played during his stay at Glamorgan.

McCullum is likely to play as a batsman only, with wicketkeeper duties being performed by Mark Wallace.
