The MCC have announced that 20 million pounds will be spent on refurbishing the Mount Stand and installing the latest and greatest scoreboards and replay screens.

The scoreboards are expected to be installed by the start of the 2008 season while the Mount Stand refurbishment is a much longer project and is expected to be completed in 2012.

Over 50 million pounds has been spent on improving the home of cricket since 1987 including the addition of the media centre and an indoor cricket school.

The MCC also added that they were looking at ways of improving the grounds capacity which currently sits at 30,000.
