Jacob Oram’s injuries continue

Jacob Oram’s future as a bowler is very much in doubt after a recent scan showed yet another stress fracture in the player’s back.

Central Districts coach Graham Barlow told media that Oram would start bowling again in August, but if it wasn’t right, it would mean a two-year recovery programme without him bowling at all.

Oram has played 20 Tests for New Zealand averaging 36.42 with the ball and 83 one-day internationals averaging 29.91 with the ball.

New Zealand’s next international series is the Champions Trophy in India in October this year.
