Hinds in hot water

West Indian Wavell Hinds, has been banned from Jamaican cricket for the rest of the year after being found guilty of verbally abusing umpires during a local match.

The Jamaican captain was found guilty of breaching the disciplinary code by a Jamaica Cricket Association panel this week after a complaint was lodged as a result of the incident that took place in a match during June.

Hinds is entitled to appeal the ban but has not yet done so, according to the Jamaican Observer. The 30 year old has played in 45 Tests and 114 ODIs for the West Indies since making his international debut in 1999.
