Hemp wants to play for Bermuda

Glamorgan player of the year David Hemp has set his sights on playing for Bermuda in the 2007 World Cup.

Hemp was born in Bermuda but his family moved to Swansea almost immediately after he was born. He is required to complete a 100 day residency before the rules permit him to play for Bermuda.

Hemp has scored over 12,000 first class runs, and will be a vital asset to Bermuda who currently are short on quality and got knocked out easily in the Intercontinental Cup by Kenya.

Hemp has plans to play for Bermuda in the 2009 ICC Trophy and the 2011 World Cup, as well as the World Cup in 2007.
