Graveney to tour with England

England chairman of selectors David Graveney will tour with the England side on their winter tours of Sri Lanka and New Zealand.

In past tours selections have been made by the coach, captain and the senior players, but following the Schofield Report and the drama during the Ashes over the non-selection of Chris Read and Monty Panesar, the decision was reached to send Graveney.

Graveney has not toured with the England team in his 10 years to date as chairman of selectors.

England tour Sri Lanka in September, October, November and December for five one-day internationals and three Tests before heading to New Zealand in February, March for three Tests, two Twenty20 internationals and five one-day internationals.
