Gough included in Champs squad
James Nixon |Darren Gough is back in the England one-day frame after being named in England’s 30-man provisional squad for the Champions Trophy in October.
Gough last played for England in July 2005 against Australia at the Oval and has an overall one-day international career bowling average of 26.11.
The England selectors have also named numerous playing who are recovering from injury including Andrew Flintoff, James Anderson, Ian Blackwell, Ashley Giles and Liam Plunkett.
Five players who have yet to make their debut for England have been named as well and include Ravi Bopara, Stuart Broad, Mal Loye, Graham Onions and Michael Yardy.
The one surprise is Kabir Ali’s obmission, even after he went for 72 runs off six overs in his last one-day international in the recent series against Sri Lanka.
The squad will be cut to 15 players on September 7th.
