Ganguly signs Northants deal

Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has signed a short term contract with Northamptonshire to replace Australian opening batsman Chris Rogers, who will be unavailable due to commitments to Australia A.

Ganguly will be available from June 25, which coincides with their C&G Trophy fixture against Nottinghamshire.

Kepler Wessels, the Northamptonshire coach was quoted as saying, “Ganguly is a very exciting player to watch. He is a tremendous batsman and will be highly motivated as he is keen to win back his place in the Indian Team.”
