South Africa has quality spinners now. They are different now. No choking this time.

Be a difficult choice for Smith if he wins the toss. Best way to beat NZ is to bowl first as they bat so deep but given South Africa's history, they won't wanna be chasing anything remotely tricky. South Africa should definitely go with the extra batsman though. Drop Botha for AB and if AB can take the gloves, bring in Ingram for van Wyk. Lopsy unlucky to miss out but McCullum is more likely to be taking him to the cleaners then Morne Morkel bowing 145kph+ back of a length.

New Zealand's biggest trump card is Southee and Mills in swinging conditions, especially at night.

Therefore, I would bat first, even though we will likely stutter and fart and fall over ourselves to get to 210.

Need Mills and Vettori to win this. They're our only world class players and if we need overs from Franklin or Tuffey we're buggered.

    McCullum
    Guptill
    Ryder
    Taylor
    Styris
    Franklin
    McCullum
    Oram
    Mills
    Vettori
    Southee

Has to be the team, with Woodcock and Williamson first reserves in their respective fields.

The only reason I see for playing Tuffey mk II is his habit of picking up wickets in his first over would be awesome to start a South African choke.
    Proudly supporting Central Districts

I think SA should seriously consider batting first for the rest of the tournament until maybe the final which will be in Mumbai (if they make it that far). There is really 0 benefit for bowling first at either Dhaka or Colombo.
Tendulkar = the most overated player EVER!!
Beckham = the most overated footballer EVER!!
Vassell = the biggest disgrace since rikki clarke!!

Yep, Southee and Mills can defend a score against South Africa if the conditions are in our favour considering SA history.

The big problem will be the first innings in that situation. Ten bucks says the batsmen don't turn up and Steyn/Morkel blast us out for under 100.

Sorry NZ, South Africa like to save their choke for a grand exit.

    C'mon, they'll at least get 140-160.

So the only two results are South Africa wins and South Africa chokes?

No they'll win this match against NZ before choking in the semis. It's their preferred method of dismissal

Well as per TEC they've never actually won a knock out match in a ODI or T20 WC since 1992. So technically they should lose this match.

Whoever wins, I'm tipping a big victory margin. NZ doesn't do close games lately.

Though I'd like it to be close courtesy of NZ playing rubbish and SA choking. That way we don't use up our domination so early in the knock outs. Save it for a semi vs India, because it would be immensely satisfying.
