He was always likely to do it if he got the perfect conditions in his favour. He missed his chances in the past, so i really expect to see him break it this time.

One thing's for sure, he aint gonna get cold feet. If he's between 394-399*, you can bet yout bottom dollar he'll go downtown regardless of the bowler or delivery

It's possible but 120 runs is still a long way away, and he'll have to face the new ball. Plus the fatigue comes into play. So no, I don't think he will do it, but obviously he has an outside shot.

It is tough, but I really hope he does. If he bats the whole day tmrw 500 is not far off.

Mirrors my own thoughts so closely it's scary. I was thinking as Sehwag went out to bat today that based on the conditions, the pitch and Sri Lanka's performance, anything less than 350 for him in this innings would be an abject failure.

I am so relieved I wasn't the only one.

Ha. Sarcasm aside, you usually post with sense & are one of the old heads on this site. Thus your usually sensible POV on cricket, lead you to think that way. Thus like me what happened today wasn't surprising.

I voted no because he still has a way to go (117 runs is a sizeable knock in and of itself) but I really hope he does it.

Yeah, hope he does it, as it would be great not to be a fan of the team that conceded the record

And it would be nice to see Hayden's 380 pushed another rung down the ladder. (If not into the footnote where it fully deserves to be).

i'm sorry but what is ur problem dude? everybody plays on flat wickets. but it takes skill to bat so quickly. just pull ur head in ok.

Please do not bring this poison into every thread where Sehwag is being discussed. You have got one whole thread to roll around.

He speaks the truth, though. Sehwag is always going to be more likely to make a big score on a flat wicket that suits his game more (hell, everyone's game more) than he is on a minefield. Not sure that constitutes 'poison'.
